Precast Flooring Federation Publishes T-Beam EPD
28 Aug 2019
The Precast Flooring Federation have published a second Environmental Product Declaration (EPD), detailing the environmental impact of 1m length of precast concrete T-Beam from cradle-to-grave. All British Precast EPDs are verified to EN15804 by Europe’s largest verification body Institut Bauen und Umwelt (IBU).
With climate change top of the scientific and public agendas, British Precast is committed to declaring the impact of precast products and working with members to lower their carbon footprint. One of the key indicators of an EPD is global warming potential. By declaring the impact of precast products, the construction industry can better understand the embodied carbon impact of buildings and take steps to reach the goal of a net zero sector.
